While Admiral Law focuses on corporate, commercial and real estate matters, we draw upon a much broader experience developed from many years of representing clients in need of help in other areas of law.
Estate Planning and Administration
For most people, the three main estate planning documents are your Will, your Personal Directive (formerly known as a Living Will) and your Enduring Power of Attorney. If you find yourself without these, or you want to update them, we can help you.
If you find yourself acting as an Executor and need a Will probated, or you are dealing with a situation where this is no Will, we work with a paralegal who is dedicated to these matters and can help you sort things out.
If you have a situation which involves some kind of dispute, let us hear about it. We have experience at all levels of Court in Alberta as well as the Federal Court. Here are some examples of our litigation work:
- Shareholder disputes
- Estate litigation
- Family law matters, ranging from divorces including child support and spousal support, to seeking a declaration of a standing in loco parentis
- Oil and gas working interests
- Bankruptcy matters, acting for creditors
- CCAA matters
Keep in mind that litigation is not cheap, but neither is it the only way to resolve disputes – some situations may lend themselves to resolution by way of mediation and/or arbitration. If we don’t feel able to deliver the services that you need for your particular matter, we will do our best to refer you to a lawyer who can.
